Spring Wireless, the global leader in a field of integrated mobility solutions for business, improves fault tolerance for their server infrastructure. Since February 2009, servers of their company are placed and operated in a data center from IBS DataFort.
MOSCOW - March 10, 2009 - IBS DataFort, a service provider of functional IT outsourcing in Russia, has finished the transfer of server equipment from Spring Wireless into their data center. Spring Wireless is a global leader in the field of integrated mobility solutions for business and has transferred the servers to ensure the work of mobility applications for their Russian and Eastern European clients.
Spring Wireless offers an extensive inventory of pre-built applications for business-to-employee transactions and business-to-consumer transactions for business and organizations that offer an intuitive user interface design. Spring Wireless also connects employees to existing back-end systems (ERP, CRM, WMS, SCM etc.) via web-services or application integration and its solutions can be delivered to more than 180 devices supported across multiple operating systems.
As the single point of contact for its clients, Spring Wireless deploys and manages the devices, software and services companies required to go mobile, removing the need for global companies to seek out multiple vendors in different geographical areas. The company provides a complete solution with faster deployment times and lower total cost of ownership than traditional mobile providers, reducing deployment times by up to 50 percent and total cost of ownership by up to 35 percent in some cases.
This vast IT infrastructure is deployed in a server complex. This complex must be 100% reliable because its work influences the efficiency and fault tolerance of cooperation within a clients’ back office and with their mobility users. Even the most insignificant downtime of servers can turn into loss of clients. This can minimize all benefits of mobility solutions with negative affects to the reputation of Spring Wireless.
“We are very excited to be working with IBS DataFort, together we can deliver truly end-to-end mobile solutions to our joint customers that will help them to increase productivity, optimize real-time processes and operations, and maximize their business success”, said Julian Tonioli, General Manager, Spring Wireless Europe and Russia.
With more than 240,000 users worldwide in more than 220 Fortune 2000 customers and annual growth rate of more than 100 percent since its inception in 2001, Spring Wireless is the largest and fastest growing company in the mobile enterprise space and was recently identified as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant on Mobile Enterprise Application Platforms.
According to the terms of agreement, Spring Wireless is deploying several stalls with server equipment in a data center from IBS DataFort. Co-location services include deployment and support of server equipment of a customer, access to the internet, backup copy, protection from unauthorized access, etc. In addition, IBS DataFort has organized a protected communication link between Spring Wireless and one of their Russian clients. This link is also being supported by IBS DataFort.
Denis Kalinin, CEO of IBS DataFort, said: "Spring Wireless is not only renting the area in our data center. The company has given to outsourcing the risks connected with IT infrastructure operations that enables the efficient work of its clients. Spring Wireless in fact trusted IBS DataFort the support of its reputation of a reliable provider of mobility solutions. And we definitely will justify this confidence".
Server infrastructure of Spring Wireless is made with an allowance for demand of high level of accessibility, reliability and scalability. This allows the company to transfer their clients to a data center of IBS DataFort.
